The Snowy day

  

 

I woke up this morning, looking out my window yawning.

To my surprise the houses and roof tops were covered in snow drops.

Big fluffy blobs of snow on this wintery day,

I was so excited I couldn’t wait to play.

 

Mummy said “school is of today!” “Yipeee…” I yelled

“than lets go and play! on The snowy day.”

 

On with my wellies, gloves, hat and scarf,

I ran and got my sledge trying not to laugh.

 

Mummy slips over to the ground Dad goes bop!

with a snowball nice and round.

 

It’s all lots of fun on the sledge today Oh how I enjoyed

The snowy day.

 

Night time comes there is still lots of snow on the ground,

we go to bed all cosy and warm smiling about the day as it’s drawn.

I would like to thank all of the children who took part and the parents for mailing the photographs through for the competition.

 

In total the competition raised £30 for the library.

 

I would also like to thank everyone who took the time to vote via the email or through letting me know personally. 

 

I hope the children enjoyed taking the photographs and I am sure that all of you would like to join me in saying that all the children did really well and all the photographs were of a very high standard.

We have just had our book week.  All the children enjoyed the week and there was a lot going on.
The children from Oak Class (class 5) have written a report and they have been scanned in  for you to see.





















We have had entries from 17 children and in total they have entered 60 photographs in the competition.


You can see all the photographs on the workpage gallery.

The photographs will be numbered and no names will be added to the photographs which will make the judging fairer.
