Term 1 Week 7 - We have had an amazing time during book week with lots of different activities going on in school. We have acted out the story of The three little pigs with Kic Theatre. Listened to the amazing music and stories from Tales from the book of life. Met a local author who shared her book with the children. Folkestone library came in to talk about borrowing books and the different books available. We had a visit from a GB athlete and took part in a timed fitness challenge. We also met the Pets as Therapy dog Jess who will be listening to the children read next term and finally we dressed up as characters from a poem. We have had a lot of fun this week!

Week 6 - We have learnt the Gingerbread Man story using actions. This week we changed it to The Banana man story ask your child to show you!

Week 5 - Every morning we have Clever Hands activities for 15 minutes to help develop our fine motor skills.

Week 4 - As the weather has been lovely and dry we have been able to use our new tyre park at playtime.

Acorn Class Term 1 Newsletter - in case you need to check information about our routine. Or Show and Tell groups! Don't worry if your child forgets the item they wanted to talk about, we always ask them if they would like to talk to the Class. All the children are feeling confident to talk to the other children in Acorn Class which is a sign they feel confident and settled at school.

Term 1- Week 2

We have had a busy two weeks doing lots of fun activities.  This week we had our Class photo taken by the Folkestone Herald and the KM (Canterbury area) newspapers to be included in the First Class supplement in October.  Keep a look out for that in the local papers.  We are off to church for the first time this afternoon for the Harvest Festival Service.
