Term 4

Term 4 week 5

A short week, full of fun Easter activities, our Easter service and WOW day!  The children really enjoyed arts and crafts on Thursday morning.  Earlier in the week we had a fireman come in and we learnt lots of important information about what to do in the event of a fire.  Some of the children tried on the fire uniforms!

Term 4 week 4  SCIENCE WEEK!

Ms Shepherd was in bed with flu this week, but the children had an amazing time doing lots of exciting activities.  Here are some pictures of them finding out what happens when you put sweets in water:

Merit Badges to:

Phoebe Pratt for her amazing knowledge about science.

Felix Cavell for co-operating well during the rocket challenge.

Term 4 week 3

This week was very unusual because half the class joined Acorns and half the class joined Willow class.  Here are some pictures of the children's observational drawing in art and some of the choosing activities they were involved in:

Term 4 week 2

Arrays have been the key learning in maths this week.  The children have been seeing how many different arrays they can make with counters.  For example with ten counters they were able to make 2 rows of five counters, five rows of 2 counters, 10 rows with one counter in each, or even just one row with ten counters in it.  I have they suggested they ask you to buy them a tube of sweets so they can then show you how to make an array.  Hope it works!

Merit Badges:

Oscar - for his hard work with multiplications this week.

Scarlett - for her overall excellence in maths.

Term 4 week 1

This week we have started to play tag rugby.  The children were very excited about this!  Well done those of you who remembered to put track suit bottoms and trainers in your PE bags - it's really cold outside, even if the sun is shining.  This term Hazel Class have teamed up with Willow Class.  Have a look at some of our budding rugby players!

Merit Badges:

Phoebe - for always sharing her wonderful general knowledge with the class.

Zachary - for already having a good understanding of our school values.
