Today we have been looking at properties of materials. The children were asked to design a feely toy with different textures that a baby could touch. It was great to hear the reasoning why certain materials had been used, all children were able to describe the properties of their chosen materials.
Please could everyone make sure that they are practising their lines for the school play at home. Thank you!
In English this week, we have been considering the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears from a different perspective. We have been wondering whether Goldilocks really was as naughty and rude as we first thought! we have been writing in speech bubbles to role play conversations between the characters and we have been writing letters of apology from Goldilocks to the bears.
In Maths we have been adding two 2-digit numbers. We have been using our knowledge of place value (adding ones and tens) to help with this!
Remembrance Day: On Tuesday we spent a lesson considering the meaning of Remembrance Day. We held a whole school 2 minute silence on the playground at 11am and in Potter Class the children enjoyed making poppy wreaths.
