The children wrote a letter of advice to Rabbit today as to what he should do because he upset Bear so much. The aim of the letter writing was to focus on capital letters for names, as well as the start of a sentence. We will be practicing this alot more over the coming weeks as the children found this really difficult.
Computing
Our task this week was to be able to use lines and shapes when using the paint programme in purple mash to recreate the work of an artist. We looked at Piet Mondrian, the children worked in pairs or individually to create their own version of his abstract art. We had some brilliant creations!
Topic
Our question today was 'Why do we have Remembrance Day?'
The children gave some really thoughful answers. We talked about why poppies are sold and how the charity is still very much needed today. We then made our own poppies and thought about how we would have felt being part of the wars.
