Star of the Week
Jasmine is this weeks Star of the Week. I have been so impressed this week Jasmine as you have been so focussed. Your writing and spelling is really improving and I loved your wanted poster! In science you enjoyed sharing your knowledge about plants and you have worked hard in maths comparing and odering lengths and heights. You should feel super proud of yourself. Very well done!
Table of the Week
Pandas are this weeks Table of the Week. Don't forget your show and tell on Monday!
Art
The children have been mark making with charcoal.
English
We have been reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Lauren Child. The children have used adjectives to describe her character and we are not happy that she ate the bears porridge and broke baby bears chair! We want to find Goldilocks and ask her why she decided to do these things. The children have created wanted posters using an adjective and then linked this to an action which describes Goldilocks.
RE
We have been thinking about what is really important at Easter for Christians. We looked at the symbolism for Christians of pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, hot cross buns and chocolate eggs (we then had a taste!)
PE
The children really enjoyed basketball today.
Science
We have been finding out what conditions plants need for growth. We then planned a comparative test - we planted seeds into pots and will give some of the pots warmth, sunlight and water and some pots will miss out on either water, sunlight or warmth. The children enjoyed making predictions about which plants will grow (or not)
