Black History Month
To celebrate Black History Month we have be finding out more about Mo Farah. The children then enjoyed drawing a portrait of Mo doing his famous 'Mobot' celebration!
Autumn fun
The children enjoyed making patterns in the pumpkins, painting a firework picture and creating a huge path!
English/Literacy
We have started reading Leo and the Octopus (by Isabelle Marinov and Chris Nixon). We have been talking about our feelings and what our body does when we experience different feelings, for example 'I jump up and down when I am cross.' We have also be talking about how we are all unique and how we all experience the same feelings but these may be at different times or for different experiences. To celebrate our uniqueness the children drew an amazing self portrait!
Science
Our unit in Science this term is 'Everyday Materials'. Today year 1 and 2 were naming different materials and then sorting objects into groups based on the materials that they were made from.
