Maths

Today the children looked at all the different ways that objects can be sorted. We looked at grouping objects according to their size, shape, colour, number and material. We worked well in our groups and will continue our learning around this tomorrow.

Topic

Our topic this term is 'maps'. Today we asked the question "What are maps for?" and looked at a range of different maps. We then looked at an aerial view of Elham and had a go at drawing our own aerial view of the classroom.

Library Time

The children loved their first visit to the library. They have all picked a book to share with you over the weekend (we do not expect them to read this themselves). Please can these be returned on Monday.

English

We have started looking at our first text of the term 'The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse' by Eric Carle. The children have rehearsed this orally with actions and will continue their learning based on this next week.
