Welcome to Acorn Class
Welcome to all of our new entrants to Acorn class. As we are unable at present to invite you for our usual induction programme we will try to keep you as updated as we can on this page.
You will shortly receive a pack containing all of the information regarding school and timescales on when we need things back.
I will be contacting preschools shortly to find out about the children, their likes, dislikes, friends and if there are any additional needs we should be aware of.
We will continue to put relevant documents on this page and will contact you as soon as we can regarding our plans for our new Acorns.
As we can't see you all in person I thought a quick introduction might be sensible. Lots of you already know us, but for those of you who are new to Elham, we are the Elham Early Years Foundation Stage Team and we look forward to meeting you and your children.
I am Ms Waters and I have been teaching for 20 years, mostly in Early Years, with a couple of years in Year 1 and 2. Early Years is where I am happiest and I love starting children off on their school journey, believing a good, happy, fun start is probably the most important thing I can do. I have previously worked as a SENCO for many years and am Forest School Level 3 trained. I have been part of the Elham team for 4 years and thoroughly enjoy sharing what Elham has to offer.
Miss Knight is the Teaching Assistant in Acorn class, she is Early Years trained having started her career at Elham preschool and then moving to work in Acorn class 4 years ago. Miss knight is always there for the children with a sympathetic ear or a cuddle if needed. Her specialities include cooking with the children, outdoor learning and keeping our tadpoles alive each year. We both look forward to inviting you into school as soon as we can.
