At Elham Church of England Primary School, safeguarding is our utmost priority. Our practices and policy are guided by Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) as well as recent training by KCC.
As a school, we have a team of designated staff members who take responsibility for safeguarding and child protection. This includes online safety. We provide advice and support to staff on child welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters and play an integral role in keeping children safe.
Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone within our community, so it is important to us that you know who to talk to should you have a concern about a child.
Outside of our school, professionals such as the Police and Children and Adult Social Care are available 24 hours a day. Information and contact details can be gained from the KCC website. Please see the link below.

In addition to this, our DSLs are available during the school day to talk things through in situations which do not require immediate response.
Should parents or staff have concerns about the headteacher, they should contact the school's Chair of Governors, Ed Robbins via edrobbins@elham.kent.sch.uk
