This week we have been doing many rehearsals for our Matilda production, focusing on singing the words using the correct tune and making our dances more refined. In english we have been writing river descriptions using effective adjectives, and figurative language - similes, metaphors and personification. We learnt about the festival of Vaisakhi and that it is a celebration for the start of the Khalsa community for Sikhs, and their new year, which is in April. We reflected on the similarities and differences to what and how we celebrate. In French we continued to learn the key words for Red Riding Hood and identified them in the story.
Thank you for brining in your costumes for the show - please make sure they're in by the start of next week
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Hall and Miss Laslett
