Whole School Meals provides our lunches. Their driving force is to feed school children well, using high-quality, local, fresh ingredients.
Their meals include the option of a hot lunch (either meat or vegetarian) or a jacket potato, and a sample menu can be found below. The children order lunches during morning registration.
These meals are free to all children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 as they are classified as 'Universal Free School Meals'. However, once children enter Key Stage 2, lunches will need to be paid for using our online payment system, School Money. They are currently £2.75 per meal.
Packed Lunches
Alternatively, children are welcome to bring their own packed lunch to school. Please endeavour to provide healthy options such as a sandwich, cucumber sticks/tomatoes, yoghurt and fruit, and limit the amount of chocolate and crisps included in these lunches. Please do not send in fizzy drinks.
The Government also offers Free School Meals for eligible children (this is entirely separate from Universal Free School Meals). More information can be found in the link marked Free School Meals.
If you think your child qualifies for Free School Meals (FSM) based on your household circumstances (such as receiving certain benefits), please consider applying for this support. This is different from Universal Free School Meals, which are automatically provided to all children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1) regardless of income.

Even if your child already receives free lunches under the universal scheme (Reception, Year 1, or Year 2), it's still worth applying for income-based Free School Meals if you're eligible. Schools receive additional funding (called the Pupil Premium) for eligible pupils, which can provide extra support for your child's education.
