In maths we are looking at teen numbers and understanding that they have 1 ten and some ones.  The children have been making these numbers using as many different manipulatives possible.  Sometimes one makes more sense than the others!

This term in Science we are looking at materials and words that describe them (stiff, dull, waterproof, bendy, stretchy etc).

We are using robots in computing this term and the children have been learning to run commands on them .

The children also practised being the robots and giving each other commands.

Topic

Today we compared different modes of transport, looking at the similarities and differences between old and new. The "Sedan Chair" was a favourite as the children couldn't believe that people would carry each other in this way! 

English

We worked in pairs to think up as many questions as we could to work out why Astrid had gone to the airbase. We worked hard on forming our question marks correctly, making sure we had put them in the right place as well.
