We had a fantastic day yesterday in London!

Topic

We have had our final lesson learning about Captain Scott and why we remember him today. We have all really enjoyed this topic and the children have been so enthusiastic and engaged. Today the children have tasted some of the foods Scott took with him to the Antarctic (golden syrup, Fry's chocolate, dried peel and biscuits). We then looked at (and tried on) a coat made of the same material Scott's clothing would have been made from - it was very heavy and itchy!
