This term we are using clay to make sculptures. Today the children spent time exploring how clay can be shaped by hand and learnt some basic skills to apply when making a model.

We have been tree spotting!
We have been talking about the differences between trees and how the seasons affect trees. The children then used subject-specific vocabulary to label the parts of tree. This is all in preparation for our new book titled House Held up by Trees by Ted Kooser.
