In maths we have been counting on from different numbers orally and in writing.  The pictures below show the children writing the next three numbers.

We have been given some puzzles by Bigjigs.  These two are perfect for helping us to prepare for the Harvest Festival service.

The children have practised writing questions and exclamations.  We looked at an aquarium and marvelled at the wonderful fish, then wrote down our comments in speech bubbles.

We are learning about sound this week.  The children have learnt that the sound waves from their voice vibrate at the back of the cup and travel down the string to the other cup!

The children were learning how to pass the ball to their partners in pop lacrosse.

We have developed our knowledge of line in art and created beautiful seascapes.

The children have started to use mouse and trackpad skills in Computing!  They have also learned the names of the different parts of the computer.

Forest School.

Crispy potatoes, carrots and fire lighting were the highlights of our afternoon today. The children worked in groups to see if they could light their own fire, not everyone could do it but we were amazed at how well everyone persevered.

We wrote down all the facts we could remember about amazing octopuses, we then had a go at recording our very own nature documentary!

Music 

The Glockenspiels were a huge hit, everyone enjoyed playing the instrumental section of our "Hey You" song. We may even try the recorders next week if our ears can handle it!!
