After working hard this week, the children have enjoyed collecting leaves in our school field in preparation for next week's autumnal collage - watch this space!

This week we completed our unit on place value in maths, and the children have been successful working with some really large numbers and using ordering, comparing and negative numbers.  In english we created an advert for a Greek mythical creature using superlatives such as deadliest and the most fearsome.  They were very persuasive!  In RE we looked at different ways that a Christian celebrates God as a creator, including through artwork, hymns, children's songs and even a 'Walk church' based in Canterbury that have worships whilst enjoying the great outdoors.  In science we spent the afternoon resting, walking, jogging and sprinting to investigate how different levels of exercise affects the heart rate.  It took a while for everyone to find their pulses and we had a few anomalies in our results.

Have a great weekend,

Mrs Hall and Mrs Pegler
