This week we finished our work for the year on decimals in maths and the children evidenced their understanding by getting some good scores on their last assessment.  The year 5s completed their CATS tests which they worked really hard on and I am impressed with their scores which will be shared in our meetings in a couple of weeks time.  In english we continued to read our new text which is keeping us in suspense but also involves lots of humour!  We investigated the concept of transparency in science, testing lots of different materials using a light reader to determine whether it was opaque, translucent or transparent.  We have started to practice our songs for the KS2 production of the Lion King which we are very excited about.
