In English this week we have started reading our new class book: Tadpole's promise. On Monday, the children came into the classroom to find a pond complete with Lily pads covered in promises. The children had to match the promises to the correct animal or object. We have used the book to learn about apostrophes. The children have learnt that apostrophes are used to show possession or omission (in contractions). They did really well writing some speech bubbles from the tadpole to the caterpillar using words containing apostrophes.
In Maths this week, we have continued learning about multiplication and division. We have been focussing on multiplying and dividing by 10 and 5 and have started to learn the 5 and 10 times tables – please practise at home! The photo shows us using our hands to help us count in 5's!
