We have continued with our learning about 'Holidays In The Past' this week and were very lucky to have a visit from Mrs Ferguson. All the children wrote down a question to ask Mrs Ferguson about her seaside holidys when she was a child, we then compared her answers with our own experiences of going to the seaside.
In English this week, we have continued to read the book 'House Held up by Trees'. We have enjoyed the story and especially the part where the trees lift the house in the air. The children have learnt about the life cycle of a sycamore tree, watching fascinating time lapse videos of a seed germinating and a year in the life of a sycamore! They worked together in groups to sequence the events in the lifecycle and then wrote about them using the conjunctions when, before and after.
In Maths this week, we have completed our unit on Place Value and are moving onto Addition and Subtraction!
