In English this week we have been reading the book Me and You by Anthony Browne. The book tells the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears - with a twist! An alternative version of Goldilocks story is told through illustrations only. We have been exploring the possibility that Goldilocks wasn't spoilt ans rude but simply lost and afraid. The children have been using conjunctions to compare the two different stories and to explain Goldilocks feeings. 

In Maths we have been doing subtraction! The children have progressed from subtracting a one-digit number from a two-digit number, to subtracting 2 two-digit numbers not across a 10 to subtracting 2 two-digit numbers across a 10. We have been using place value charts and base 10 equipment to support our learning!
