Star of the Week
This weeks Star of the Week is Eloise.
You really deserve to be the Star of the Week. You are always ready to learn and enjoy sharing your knowledge with the class. You are such an amazing helper and you are always happy to help other children in our class.
This week in Maths you have worked hard to read and write numbers that are equal to each other. You are doing really well with your reading and you were super focused during our guided reading session today and enjoyed our book The Magic Paintbrush.
You are fantastic member of Hazel class Eloise. Well done!
In science this term the children are learning all about materials. Today we started to identify and name a variety of everyday materials used to make toys. The children sorted a box of toys into groups of the same material (plastic, wood, metal, fabric) and used descriptive words to associate with them.
We then went on a scavenger hunt outside to find things that were made from wood, plastic, metal, stone, fabric and glass.
Welcome back to School and Term 3!
This term in Early Morning Work the children will be focusing primarily on two different things:
Reading and writing Tricky Words
Reading and writing numbers (words and digits)
Last term the maths focus in Early Morning Work was ordering numbers. Not all children mastered this, so we will be continuing this too.
