We have been practising turns in maths today. The children followed my instructions (do a quarter/half/whole/three quarters turn) and then instructed each other. They even corrected each other!
We are learning the story of Moses. The children made their own scenes of Moses in a basket on the River Nile. Sadly, one has already sunk.
This term in Science we are doing a series of investigations, putting into practice the scientific knowledge and skills we have learnt over the year. This week our investigation was 'Do the tallest trees have the largest trunks?' We thought the answer would be a very definite yes, but we were proved wrong!
In Art, in preparation for doing work about Andy Goldsworthy, the children sorted objects into colours and materials, inside and outside the classroom.
Rapid Fire Cricket
What beautiful weather we had for the cricket.
I was so proud of all the children this morning, the teamwork and enthusiasm they all showed was outstanding! Their behaviour was excellent and the cricket coaches commented on this also.
Well done Hazel and Willow Class!
