Welcome back to school everybody!
This is a really short term, with a bank holiday the week after next so we will be cramming stuff into it.
This term in Maths we are learning to count in 2s, 5s, and 10s. Today we started with 2s and the children will have lots of opportunities to practise this in Early Morning Work.
In DT we are learning about fruit and vegetables, with a goal to make a fruit smoothy by the end of term. Today children categorised things into fruits and not fruits.
Topic
This term we will be looking at seaside holidays past and present. Today the children contributed ideas to a class mind map coming up with lots of words or activities linked to the seaside. They then wrote sentences about their favourite thing to do at the beach and illustrated them.
