In early morning work this week the children have been measuring, making 100, finding our one more and one less than a number and finding numbers on a hundred square,
We have found rhyming words in books and discovered that they often come at the end of a line.
Topic
This week we learnt about the Wright Brothers and their love of flying and the invention of the first plane. We then had a go at making our own planes, took advantage of the nice sunny weather and flew them on the playground. Well done to Dom whose plane went the furthest nearly every time!
Maths
A lot of measuring this week using objects first (cubes and paper clips) then moving on to using rulers and measuring in cm's.
