12.5.25
Unfortunately we are unable to add any photos to this week's folder. Hopefully it will have sorted itself out by the end of the week!
The children have been summarising the events of the story 'Dinosaurs and all that Rubbish' to each other, using pictures as prompts. They have also rewritten some interesting ends to the story!
In maths the children have been introduced to arrays and learned that an array is composed of rows and columns. This new vocabulary has proved quite tricky for some of them.
In computing the children have been editing texts, familiarising themselves with the toolbar in Word and changing the font, colour and size of the font, as well as underlining it. We will carry on with this next week.
Topic
We looked at old photographs this week of seaside holidays in the past. The children were amazed at how many clothes people wore to the beach back then! Punch and Judy was a big hit, we looked at a performance of this and will be creating our own shows next week.
Show and Tell
The children absolutely love this every Friday. Today we were treated to radishes from Amelia (we all had a taste), tadpole pictures from Summer, a cuttlefish from Luna and of course a fact from William that we get every week.
Raffle Ticket Reward Afternoon
Sunshine and icecream, what more could you ask for! After earning 40 raffle tickets we enjoyed our treat this afternoon.
