We had an amazing day at the seaside and the children have written about it:
William's recount
Yesterday we went to the beach. We travelled by bus. When we got there I started digging a hole. My favourite part was digging. I went swimming. Lunch was sausage and chips. On the way back we had some jelly men.

Yesterday we went to the beach. We got on the bus. We stopped at Folkestone. We walked to the beach. My favourite bit was when I found a crab and fish. Then I had chips and sausages. It was a fun day.
Dom's recount
Yesterday we went to the beach. We walked to a bus stop and the bus came. It was a double decker. It was a long time and we had gummy people from Miss Knight and we had marshmallows from Aleksandra. We got there and we were in groups. We walked to the beach and we got there. We went to the sea. We played with sand.

Yesterday we went to the beach. On the bus we ate gummy bears and Aleksandra's marsh mallows but when we got there we had to walk to the beach so we walked and walked until we got there. We played at the beach until we went into the ocean. I found a crab and I played in the ocean. I ran away from the waves. It was time for lunch so we ate our lunch. I guarded my lunch so the seagulls couldn't get it. We had our last play. We went to the bus and back into the classroom.

Yesterday we went to the beach. We finally got there. We played in the sand then I went in the sea. Then I got chilly. I sunbathed. I got changed into my top and knickers.

And then we dug another hole. And then we had lunch.

Yesterday we went to the beach. We swam in the sea then we built a sandcastle. Then we had our sausage and chips. Then I built a sandcastle for William. Then we went back on the bus. Then Aleksandra gave marshmallows. Then we went back to school. My favourite bit was when I built the sandcastle for William.

We went to the beach yesterday and we had jelly babies from Miss Knight and Ms Shepherd and we went on the top of the bus, even at the end of the trip. We had ice cream and we went to paddle in the sea and we had fish and chips and sausages. We found lots of crabs. We sunbathed. We walked to Sunny Sands and we did a gynormous sandcastle.
Maths
Today we have been comparing two digit numbers. We have been looking at how many tens and ones are in each number and then comparing them using the words 'greater than, less than and equal to'.
