RaffleTicket Reward!

As a result of getting 50 raffle tickets this term, we had a lovely morning with our teddies. We had another surprise treat as Evie had made cupcakes for the whole class. A very big thank you to Evie (and her mum) they were delicious!

The second part of our raffle reward was to have a purple mash morning which the children all loved, its lovely to see how this is supporting their learning. 

Science

Using our sense of smell was this weeks learning. We had 6 different smells that the children had to guess without using any of their other senses. The items were hidden in cups and we had some brilliant guesses!

1. Curry powder

* pot noodle

* garlic

* seeds

* cobwebs

* mint

Maths

Our learning using subtraction has continued this week. The children have been using different manipulatives to assist them, bead strings, cubes and counters and ten frames. 

Father Christmas!!

We were very lucky today as Father Christmas took time out of his busy schedule to video call us from the North Pole. Everyone was so excited to see him (even the teachers) and asked him lots of very interesting questions. 

We even sang him one of our songs from the nativity!
