Welcome back to our final term. Looking back at pictures of the children when they came into year one, it is really noticeable how much they have grown and matured!
We have had quite a few children without coats this week. Could you please remember to put one in their bags so they don't get caught out by showers. Thank you.
In RE this term we are continuing to learn about Judaism and the children will have brought home a 'Mezuzah', which contains a prayer. They may try to persade you to let them attach it to the door frame...
We are having a mad week with finding half of shapes, objects and numbers and then quarter of shapes, objects and numbers. The children are finding this tricky! You can help at home by getting them to show you what half an apple, a square or a number looks like. Thank you.
Last term we ran out of time to make our smoothies, so the grand finale is today. The children all chose what they would like to put in their smoothies and today they have chooped up their ingredients and put them into the blender to see if they made good choices.

This term the children will be comparing our village of Elham to a small village in New Zealand called Makara. Today we started by looking at a map of the UK and learning what countries make up the United Kingdom and which seas surround us.
We all took turns looking at a globe to see if we could spot the UK, the children were amazed at how small our country really is.
