VE Day
We started the morning by observing a one minute silence on the playground whilst the VE Day flag was raised. Elizabeth and Keith then joined us for a special assembly where we learnt about Elizabeth's time during the war as a four year old child. She recalled her memory of VE Day and how emotional it was for her and her family.
In the afternoon we made a Spitfire plane and had great fun flying it on the playground.

The children made some great posters today all about ways to save the planet.
They really thought hard about the little things they could do and what they would like adults to do better.
