Curriculum Intent
At Elham C of E Primary School, through the teaching of Physical Education, it is our aim that our children are inspired to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities. We aim to provide opportunities for our children to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. We provide opportunities to compete in sport and other activities building character and helping to embed values such as fairness and respect. Through PE the children will also develop their oracy and communication skills. |
Alongside our in school PE provision, the school is also a member of the Shepway Sports Trust. The trust provides opportunities for all of our children to take part in fun and competitive events involving other schools. The events that the trust organise also allow for qualification for the Kent School Games, where the children in the school have had great success annually.
