Table of the Week

Topic

We have been finding out about school in China and comparing it with our school. One school we looked at in Beijing has 4000 children - a lot more than our school! The children in the school in Beijing learn caligraphy to write the Chinese characters. Today the children have had a go, they loved it!

RE

Today we have been thinking about this question 'if someone believes God made the world, what might they say to this creator?'  The children gave some really thoughtful responses to this question. We then made a connection between Christian ideas of God as Creator and the importance for everyone of being grateful for what we have. The children held a grape and thought about where the grape had come from and what it needed to make it grow. Rather than eating it quickly without a thought the children looked at it, smelt it and then tasted it appreciating how wonderful it is!

Art

Here are our pictures for our whole school art display. The theme is colour. The children have painted these beautiful trees using the colours of the rainbow. They are fantastic!

PE

The children had lots of fun this morning!

Maths

We have been using tens and ones to represent numbers in a place value chart and then write the matching addition sentence.
