The children have had a fabulous week this week. We have been lucky enough to have been looking after the ducklings which hatched in the school last week. We have let them have a little swim in the middle of the classroom and the children have been so quiet and sensible so they didn't frighten them. Billy sat for most of the afternoon just looking at them, totally mesmerised and fascinated.
Our actual theme this week has been mini beasts and we have learnt what our smallest creatures contribute to the world and how we should be kind to all living things.
At Forest School we had a look for mini beasts and surprisingly found quite a few.
Our sounds this week have been igh and oa and in maths we have been looking at and understanding the numbers 9 and 10.
