Lovely to see all the children back at school!  Today they have been like sponges, soaking up all the learning.  

We are learning to count in 2s, 5s and 10s this term.  We have started with 2 and the children paired socks and gloves and some managed to count in 2s up to 24!

We are looking at our dreams for the future and the future of the world and reading the book 'Dinosaurs and all that Rubbish'.  Some lovely ideas came from the children:

'I dream the world will be a  happy place.'

'I dream I will be an artist.'

'I dream I will have lots of cats.'

'I dream I will be the strongest man.'

DT

In DT this term we are looking at fruits and non fruits, learning how to cut and juice them safely and how to make a smoothie. This week the children had to create two groups, fruits and non fruits, with the items they had been given. There was a lot of debate regarding which category the pepper, cucumber and tomato should be placed. 

Music

This term we are looking at seaside songs to coincide with our learning of the seaside in Topic. The children learnt the first song 'The big ship sails' today,  we hope you like their singing!
