We have now finished studying the Time Slip Scarab and the children had lots of fun writing their own "portal story", using some ingenious portals such as a slide, a book and a mirror! Well done to everyone! We have now started to look at the story of Anthony and Cleopatra and will be looking at Shakespeare's play for some inspiration.

In Science we have been learning about the movements of the moon and as a little extra homework the children have been asked to take a quick look at the moon this evening and again tomorrow morning and notice if it was in the same place in the sky. We made some very cool moving models to show how the Earth orbits the Sun and the Moon orbits the Earth.

In Maths we have been learning about numbers to 1000 and estimating where they should go on a numberline.

Thank you for your continued support with Reading at home. Most children are now remembering to bring in their Reading Log books on a Monday, with  a few late-comers on  a Tuesday. Those who have not read at home during the week spend 20 minutes at lunchtime reading. The book boxes have been refreshed with new books, so there is plenty to choose from.

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone!

In English on Thursday, we were learning how to use commas in lists. We played the 'I went to the shops and I bought ...' game in 2 teams in the hall. The children were amazing at remembering the whole shopping list! They wrote sentences including lists of what they would buy at the supermarket, toy shop and pet shop!!

I went to the shops!

The children loved their dance workshop with Laura!
