Science Week
Hello Everyone
What an exciting time we have experienced during our annual Science Week!
Mrs Bashford taught us all how to make our own lava lamps using just a plastic bottle, some water, oil, baking powder and dyed vinegar. We were very impressed with the results and pleased to be able to take them home.
Later in the week, we watched Mrs Levett dissect a lamb's heart, which was really fascinating and fitted in very well with our current Science topic of the human body. This week were looking at the heart and lungs in particular.
On Thursday we were treated to a magic show from the Science Magician, which was great fun as he had us trying out lots of 'magic' tricks for ourselves.
Finally, on Friday afternoon, we enjoyed our time in the Astrodome, where were learnt about climate change and watched a fascinating film from NASA explaining what we need to do to keep our planet in balance. This is becoming more and more important because, as the saying goes, 'There is no Planet B'.
As part of our Science Week projects we also designed two posters each - one on the subject of 'Growth' and the other advertising all the exciting events which were taking place during the week.
We would like to thank Mrs Strover, Mrs Lewis and Mrs Greenwood for taking the time to organise Science Week for us.
Have a super weekend and see you all bright and early on Monday morning!
