Willow class have had an amazing day in London. We all climbed the 311 steps of The Monument and what a fabulous view we had! The children were so well behaved. A huge thank you to everyone who made the trip possible. Have a great half term!
Today the children watched a re-enactment of the Great Fire of London. What a incredible experience!
The houses were all lined up as the children looked on from a safe distance. Mr File then created the spark to start the fire at Thomas Farriner’s house and the flames quickly rose and spread to all the other houses. The children watched the fire take hold of the houses thinking about the feelings of the people forced to leave their homes in the fire as well as the sights, sounds and smells of the fire itself.
Soon the embers died down and the children were reminded how quickly a fire can spread and also that a fire needs to be put out properly.
The children had fun on the apparatus in PE today!
The children have really enjoyed their Monday cricket sessions.
The children had a great time with Ian from KIC Theatre. The drama session was based around our topic this term and the children were excellent at working in groups and acting out various scenes from The Great Fire of London.
