Good afternoon everyone!
This week has been Kindness week and we have discussed the different ways of being kind to each other, but also kind to ourselves too. As today was Kindness Day, Mr File asked us all to wear something that would cheer us and other people up. Consequently we had some great costumes and hairstyles in class - just take a look at the photos below.
As usual, we have all enjoyed different aspects of our learning this week including:
- Learning to do slap and push passes in Hockey and playing possession games at lunchtime with our PE teachers on Wednesday.
- Learning how to calculate the perimeter and area of rectangles and compound shapes.
- Coding a digital clock in Computing. Some of us finished quickly and could choose an activity from the Hour of Code website. There are lots of great computing lessons on there which take an hour or less. If you would like to do some of them at home, click on the link below.
- Writing character descriptions of Scrooge from Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'.
Don't forget that Monday afternoon is Forest School with Mr File for Year 6, so remember to bring your wellies to school along with hats, gloves and warm coats.
Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe.
Best wishes
Mrs Short and Mrs Godden
