This week we are learning about the fire service. We will be labelling a fire fighter and a fire engine using the sounds we know.
In maths we will be continuing with taking away.
What a busy week!
We have been learning about the fire service this week continuing our theme of people who help us.
We have learnt what the fire service do, and that it is not just putting out fires.
We have labelled a fire engine and even designed our own.
We are continuing to learn our sounds and are now concentrating on digraphs and blending these within words.
In maths we have been practising 1 more and 1 less than a given number to 10 and also thinking about the concept of time. We counted up how many times we could take our shoes on and off in 1 minute and how many star jumps we could do in 30 seconds. Its amazing how a timer speeds things up!
In PE we thought about positional language such as on, off, under and over, in and out. We carried on with this learning in the classroom using the BEE BOTS. This was great fun and also showed the children how to use a programmable toy.
We have had lots of fun outside building tracks with our building crates and even planting the seeds from our apples.
