We've had a busy week so far with spelling and times tables tests, learning about pronouns and tenses in English and using number facts in Maths.

Please remember to practise your spellings throughout the week - a practise sheet is sent home each Wednesday ready for a test on Tuesday. Children who do not get at least 5 spellings correct will be retested on Thursday.

We have now got a reading corner in the classroom, so the children should all have a book at the correct level for them as individuals. Practising at home for around ten minutes every day is really important at this age to promote good reading habits and helps their progress no end!

We're looking forward to our trip to Samphire Hoe on Monday - please take note of the weather forecast on the day and dress appropriately. Sensible shoes should be worn - trainers are acceptable. Don't forget to send your child with a packed lunch as we will not be back at school in time for lunch!
