Guided reading is now well underway and the children are learning to work independently and trying hard to work quietly so that we can listen to those who are reading.

In Science this term we are learning about animals.  This week we have learnt the names of the different groups of animals: fish, birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians.

Topic

We have carried on with our learning about maps. The children used a range of different materials to create a map of the classroom. We had some amazing, well thought out creations! 

Maths

Matching numbers with the written words (eg 1 and one) has been quite tricky for the children this week but we have played lots of games and hopefully this will now become a bit easier for them.
