This week we have been finding out all about Paramedics and the amazing work they do!
The classroom has been transformed into a hospital and the children have really enjoyed dressing up and being doctors/nurses. Who knew there were so many illnesses you could catch ..... Broken bones, no heartbeats, fuzzy leg syndrome, a floppy head and gurgling tummies, that's just to name a few!!
We have taken advantage of the nice dry weather and spent lots of time outside. The bikes have become ambulances with flashing lights, the playhouse is now a hospital and the sand pit was used for burying broken bones!
On Wednesday we were very lucky to have a visit from Fiona Turney. Fiona has been a paramedic for 21 years and came in to talk to the children all about her job. The children had all written questions to ask Fiona and they spoke very clearly and confidently. A big thank you to Fiona!
Well done to this weeks merit badge winner Eloise.
Eloise has been super helpful in class this week and asked some amazing questions when we had the paramedic visit. Keep up the good work Eloise.
