Welcome back to Term 2

This week we continued with calculating subtractions in maths using a column method and an empty number line to find the difference. In English we wrote the next part of our story and then edited our writing the next day.  Mrs Hall had also written her own piece of text which we had to edit for her as there were so many mistakes, we were shocked (intentionally done!)  We learnt about many different Pharaohs in topic, some we had never heard of before.  We completed our own research to discover what differences they had made whilst they ruled Egypt.  We started our new RE unit; Incarnation- Was Jesus the Messiah?  We discussed what qualities a good king needed, and related this to creating a Wanted poster for what the Israelites needed their saviour to be like.  In music we were introduced to the recorder.  We all took turns to play the note 'B' and played a little tune by reading sheet music.
