Star of the week
This weeks 'star of the week' is Oscar. You have persevered with your writing this week and worked really hard to complete your spine poem about an animal. We have also enjoyed seeing you become more independent this week. You are a kind and helpful member of Hazel class. Well done Oscar!
It has been an amazing WOW day!
The children came in to class this morning to discover there had been a visitor overnight. A dinosaur had somehow managed to get into our class, jump on the table and escape through the roof light in Willows class.
The children spent some time investigating the footprints and the mess and then we talked about what type of dinosaur it could be and whether it would be friendly (or not!)
The children made amazing dinosaur headbands. We then discovered some dinosaur eggs outside so we went to investigate.
This afternoon we painted super dinosaur stencils.
One of the children in the class said it had been a ROARSOME day! It certainly was.
Have a lovely half term.
It's the last week of term and we have been assessing the children's maths, reading and writing. The assessments will be used to provide children with targets to work on next term. We will send these home next term and the children will also have a copy of them on their desks.
While we assessed the children in groups, other groups played with games. What a beautifully behaved class!
