This week in maths we have been learning how number sentences can be written in different ways, but still carry the same meaning.

We have looked at Remembrance Day this week and all the things that people can do to support this. We learnt why the poppy is so symbolic and looked at the different war memorials people can attend. The whole class contributed to our lovely new wall display and a lot of children were very moved when talking of the soldiers that didn't return home.

This afternoon we looked at "What does being a friend mean?" and "What characteristics make a good friend?". There were lots of different answers and it was interesting to hear everyone's views. The children then went off in groups to complete a pyramid using the words kind, truthful, funny, share, listens and helpful. They had to decide which quality's were the least important and the most important to them.
