Week ending 10.6.22
It was great to see the children back, refreshed after the half term break and Jubilee weekend!
What a fun week we have had! It was SKY Arts Week, with lots of really interesting resources to download, from 2D print making to drama, dance and poetry. We were also fortunate to have Annie Begley doing pottery workshops in the Forest School hut, on Thursday and Kevin teaching the children djembe drumming and Laura teaching modern dance on Friday. On Tuesday, Shane Record painted a huge landscape mural of Sunny Sands in the hall. It was incredible to see the picture emerge before our eyes and the children and teachers were enthralled!
What else have we learned this week?
'I learned my 2 x table and corresponding division facts.'
'I learned about contractions of words.'
'I learned the graphemes for the 'eer' and 'ear', phoneme.'
'I designed and built part of a totem pole.'
'I wrote a recount of Annie Begley's visit.'
'I learned how to work out maths word problems.'
'I learned how to use Makaton to sign 'God Save the Queen.'
'I learned how to do 'The Twist.''
