Welcome to Beech class 2022-2023

It has been a great first week back.  The children came in enthused and ready to learn, all with big smiles to greet us.

This week we spent Monday doing class admin activities and then started proper lessons from Tuesday onwards.  The children wrote recounts detailing their summer holiday; describing what lovely times they had, and a few disasters too!  Our first Topic lesson took us time travelling back 5000 years to the Ancient Egyptian times.  We stopped off on the way with the Victorians, Tudors and Romans to name a few.  We read some verses from the Bible in RE and discussed the origins of the Holy text.  In Science we began our unit on Earth and Space which the children were very excited about.

Please remember to bring in as many Pringle tubes that you can!

I hope to see lots of you at the Meet the Teacher afternoon on Wednesday next week.  I will add the presentation onto the website after for those who cannot attend.
