Science Week - Owls visit - we learnt about 4 different types of owls, watched them fly, looked at feathers and used binoculars to show us what their vision is like!
Science week - Palaeontology - Mary Anning gave a talk about her work as a famous fossil hunter all the way from the Victorian times, we explored her life and looked at lots of fossils that children had brought in.
Ammonites and jelly fossils - we made ammonites out of sat dough, and discussed what they were. We made layers of jelly that represented rock formation over millions of years, with dead animals that became fossilised inside the layers.
