This week the children made soup at Forest School. Those who remembered to bring in some vegetables had fun chopping them up and adding them to the pan. The children also used hammers to bang in some nails into the wood they had previously sawn and then they created a collage/pattern using coloured wool.

In RE we watched videos about Christian Aid, Porchlight and Tearfund; this included a video of a previously homeless woman who had been "saved" (her words) thanks to the charity Porchlight. The children discussed in pairs how they thought it would feel to both need support and provide support and they then discussed their ideas in front of the class. 

In Shape, Data & Measures we have begun exploring multi-step maths problems - this can be quite tricky and we will continue to practice this area of maths next week.
