Welcome back to Term 4,and halfway through the year already!  The children all came back enthused and ready to learn.

This week we continued with our fraction unit in maths, using our times tables knowledge to convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions.  In English we started our new text; Anglo Saxon Boy where we met Magnus and his father, Earl Harold Godwinson - a powerful leader that existed in real life history.  We analysed characters and the children wrote some super letters from Harold to his son, saying why he wanted to meet with him.  In science we began our unit on rocks, and discovered the three different types and how they are formed.  In music, we learnt to play 3 notes, B, A and G on the recorder and played along with a 3 note Bossa to a jazz tune.
